This additional Act notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies solely to residents of the state of Washington. It is provided in accordance with the My Health My Data Act (MHMD).

Consumer Health Data We Collect

Matter and Space may collect the following categories of consumer health data as defined under Washington law:

  1. Information about mental or emotional health, mood, or stress levels
  2. Sleep patterns, wellness tracking inputs, or meditation activity
  3. User-provided reflections
  4. Data received from third-party integrations (e.g. Fitbit, AppleWatch) related to physical activity or health.
  5. Inferences drawn from app usage that relate to health-related interests, behaviors, or goals
  6. Biometric or bio-metric derived data (see below)

Purposes for Collection and Use

  1. Deliver, personalize, and improve our services
  2. Tailor educational content and behavioral feedback
  3. Perform analytics and monitor platform performance
  4. Comply with applicable legal obligations

Sharing of Consumer Health Data

Matter and Space does not sell consumer health data.

We may share consumer health data with service providers who support platform operations. These parties:

  1. Only receive de-identified data along with strict controls to prevent re-identification except on logged need-to-know basis.
  2. Are contractually required to protect and secure the data according to industry standards.
  3. May only use consumer health data to provide services to Matter and Space. 
  4. May not sell the data.

Consent and Your Rights

We will only collect or share consumer health data with your affirmative, opt-in consent, except where required by law.

As a Washington resident, you have the right to:

  1. Confirm whether Matter and Space collects or shares your health data
  2. Access your consumer health data
  3. Withdraw your consent for collection or sharing
  4. Request deletion of your health data

Biometric Data Disclosure

Matter and Space may collect biometric data or biometric-derviced data (as defined under MHMD), including:

  1. Heart rate
  2. Sleep patterns
  3. Physical activity
  4. Movement or behavioral patterns

We use this information to personalize your experience, improve the platform, and conduct internal analytics and product development. 

This data is de-identified within Matter and Space systems and is only re-identified on a strict, need-to-know basis with internal controls. 

We do not sell biometric data. We only share it with contracted service providers who help us operate the platform and are contractually bound to treat data according to industry standards for safety and security.
